Counterpoint: "Manly sounding" male narrators solidly in the baritone range imitating "(young) female voices" in the course of the narrative. Life experience teaches me that if a male speaks in those kinds of tone of voice, they're actively mocking someone.... Which is a problem when those characters are significant characters(and aren't doing anything to warrant mockery) [NT]
